Budibase release 0.8 - Game-changer 🚀
Over the last 3 weeks, we've listened hard and worked harder to deliver game-changing features. Within release 0.8, you will find:
A new form builder
The new form builder is magical. You can create forms from your schema, or create custom forms from scratch. Out of the box, forms come with dark mode, validation, accessibility, and sizing props. More importantly, they're super flexible and beautiful.
Role Based Access Control
Assign access permissions to tables and views. You will now be able to control who can read and write from tables, as well as allow public access to tables for non-logged-in users.
A new search component
Perform search on data within your apps (only data stored with Budibase's internal database).
Auto columns
This feature introduces the ability to create "Auto Columns" such as 'created by', 'updated at', 'auto id' and more.
Bindable URL Params
Screen URL parameters are now available as bindable properties.
Improved data relationships
We've dramatically improved how users create relationships, including the addition of 1:N relationships.
Rest API
Interact with REST APIs as an external data source
Filtering
You can now filter lists with just a few clicks
How to get the new release
If you have signed up and downloaded the builder before, you will automatically get the update. If you have not signed up to Budibase before, you can get started here.
Along with the introduction of the features above, we have fixed a number of bugs, improved performance, added to our docs, and created lots of screencasts/how-tos on our Youtube channel. I would like to take this moment, on behave of the Budibase team to thank everyone who has contributed to this release. We believe building internal tools should feel magical, and week by week, you're helping us achieve this.
Special shoutouts to:
@yashank09
@SOVLOOKUP
Both have contributed way beyond our expectations and we will be forever thankful. Thanks, Budies.
To help improve the exposure of Budibase, we'd greatly appreciate it if you could star our repository. This helps a lot with attracting new community members.
Have a great day,
The Budibase team
