Overview

Right now, we have three screen sizes:
Mobile (<600px wide), Tablet-portrait (600-960px wide), Desktop (>960px wide)
image

Prior to 2024, the mobile and tablet-portrait modes used to be quite different -- mobile used to be list OR map but not both at the same time.

However, in early 2024, we improved the mobile layout to have a split map and list view, which was very similar to tablet-portrait.

Proposal

Now that the mobile screen layout has basically absorbed the best parts of tablet-portrait, let's get rid of the tablet-portrait screen layout altogether.

This will simplify our development and design work.

This would mean we will only have mobile and desktop layouts.

Mobile would now be any screen <960 px wide
Desktop is 960px wide and wider

Action Items

  • Beta test and revise if necessary
  • If no problems, make public
