Many folks aren't going to devote time to attending each session. I think a recorded overview could tell folks what's out there and target their time investment.

  • Role of editor - 5 mins
    • start conversation with a strawman
    • work towards /TR/ or Open Web Platform doc
  • Minimally set up a github repo - 5 mins
  • Hello ReSpec - 5 mins
  • Hello BikeShed - 5 mins
  • Horizontal review - 10 mins
    • Accessibility: 1 negative, 1 positive example
    • Internationalization: 1 negative, 1 positive example
    • Tag review
  • PR process - 10 mins
    • {reviewer} clone repo, edit, commit push, create PR
    • {reviewer} alternative: edit file in place (which clones, edits and creates a PR)
    • {editor} click preview, consider editoral vs. substantive, merge (web interface, but say there's a cli alternative)
  • conventions - 1 min
    • WebIDL
    • specref
  • (existence of) tools - 6 mins
    • reminder of preview
    • w3c id/git id association
    • WebIDL
    • webplatform tests
  • pubrules - 3 mins

In this fantasy talk, this all fits together well 'cause folks can imagine creating a repo, creating a respec doc, getting a PR, and clicking the preview to see what it looks like. They could even follow along by creating repos in their own orgs, but that could slow things down. The video would allow them to do it later and pause the video when they needed.

Time management would be essential; every one of these is a talk in itself so the presenter would need to emphasize that it's just a list of features, not an explanation of them. Could also do it non-interactively.

I really like these. If we script/edit them right, they could be really amazing.
