Hi,

I've noticed that the SD Images are a bit aggressively shrunk, making them hard to use if you install new generations (/boot is way too small, etc).

It would be nice to see the boot partition set to a static, larger size to accommodate iterating from the "Sd image" to a regular installed system in place.

I realize this might be "out of scope" - it seems like ideally we'd get the system config stuff into nixos-hardware and a custom u-boot build/image into tow-boot. I'm interested in collaborating on this soon, if some other folks are too.
